In Mother Words

I took my son to the playground the other day. He was having a grand old time playing and watching people walk by with their dogs. He’s only minimally verbal at 2-1/2 years of age, so I was very surprised to hear him say:

“Want dog”

“Two”

“Big”

“Me walk!”

I really didn’t think the promise to care for a desired pet (or two!) would start so young!
