I have a love-hate thing for sippy cups. They save so much mess, but they wander the house so! And it seems like I can only find them about half the time. I just have this image in my mind of a sippy black hole, whence they disappear, only to reappear days later under the couch, in a stack of toys, or wherever I find that cup filled with congealed milk or rancid apple juice.
They’re out there. Just waiting to be discovered. Anyone want to record the Sippy Cup Files?
My son and daughter were playing together this morning, relatively peacefully, when my son decided he’d had enough of his older sister bossing him around.
“Me no KINGGGG!”
My daughter did what any bossy 5 year old girl would do. “You have to be the King. You’re a boy and only boys can be king. I’m the queen!”
“NOOOO!”
As you can probably imagine, this went on for a little while.
“Football boring!” – my 2 year old, to his grandfather’s great disappointment
“Too hot!” – any time he doesn’t want to eat his food and it is anything other than cold.
